Another PPC opportunity freebie...

I had written in a previous thread that I used to look for SERPS with 0-2 ads and decent search volume that I could get cheap clicks fit an affiliate product to with little ad competition.

Ok, so this morning I see that 1and1 is down (where I have some sites hosted).

I go searching the usual forums (Webhostingtalk, etc.) for info, nothing.

So I do a search "is 1and1 down"...

Big, 'empty' SERPS page...

Wordtracker says appx. 10 searches per day. BUT, that's an average! When something like this happens, the searches are bound to spike!

Seems like a GREAT opportunity to run some ads:

1and1 Down Again?
We guarantee better uptime
Yada Yada Yada....

These are "desperate buyers"... you can extend this idea to any service that may have similar problems, etc.

This actually is a good idea that can be expanded to other famous service/ product types too you would guess.. ie. product "faulty xxxx". "xxxx complaints" "xxxx problems" and so on. I am not actually a ppc guy but your idea fits well. Any product or service chosen would have to be famous i guesss to ensure that people are likely to be searching on it
