Looking for a list of all SEO tracking parameters I can use to provide status reports to clients. This has been one of the biggest challenges for me doign SEO, providing some concrete , tangible benefit to the client. For example, developing a baseline of the current SEO status/position. I use such parameters as Alexa ranking, current keyword ranking. Any other parameters and tools used for SEO services? Also, if anyone has a form they use to show the client the benefit and results of their SEO investment would be great! Thanks |

If you are using Google analytics, you can track your natural search traffic activity and break it down by visits and goal conversions (or ecommerce). This way you can show your client specifically how natural seo has driven visitors to the site and those visitors are leading to revenue. Just looking at rankings or alexa won't do that. You either want to show the positive results of your seo efforts on the aggregate level, such as seo lead to % increase of sales directly as a result of our campaign or on a specific keyword level if you need to get granular. You can check out TrafficVault and learn more.
