Totally honest, I learned my SEO from here and there a little, and bits and pieces every where. Sufferring from info overloaded. and so on....
But ah ha... few weeks ago, I came across this book called "Search Engine Optimisation" an hour a day by Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Couzin. I got a copy of it and find it useful with very good free resources which I will share later. Basically, it is a step-by-step guide to help to increase the visibility of your websites on the search engines. Just some extracts from the book: -cut through the trendy jargon to find the "Eternal Truths" of SEO -discover the right keywords using the latest research tools and your own gut check -get to know your stats and the free stat-collector, Google Analytics -optimize your site for search engines and your site visitors so you can be found -use the social web to help to reach business goals, even if you're not a social networking butterfly and etc. What I like about the book is the twelve weeks plan for your seo strategy, with each week detailing Monday to Friday tasks. This is a great time saver for myself and has helped me to plan my work in a systematic manner. This book comes with lots and lots of example and teaching you how to carry out the proper analysis. Now, here comes the best part: The two authors are generous enough to provide a list of SEO Plan worksheets to guide you in case you're lost. These F-R-E-E worksheets comprise of:
Lastly, my apology if I sound like a sale preacher about the book...ha ha...not affiliate selling here. Just thought this is a great tool to share with everyone here. |

Hi,
I'm just on the verge of employing SEO strategy myself. I guess you're talking about www(dot)yourseoplan(dot)com? Someone recommended it to me, but I got one problem with it: when I checked this website out for major keywords related to seo - they're everywhere from the position 53 up to 200, which is from the 6th down to 20th serp in google. Have you tried it and did it work for you? JJ |
