I have about 2 dozen Blogger blogs. While I use them for backlinks to my 'main sites', they all have original, reasonably good content on them, and most have many - sometimes dozens - of posts. Tonight I decided to check a post for dup content by searching for the first few sentences. No luck. That got me curious, so I started searching for posts on more Blogger blogs. Well it seems that at least half of them are not indexed in Google at all! In fact, for some, the only thing I came up with are a few RSS feeds from blogs I had submitted. I know I'm not the only one using Blogger like this - have you checked your blogs recently? Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks, Mark |

Mark, I believe there is an update going on with Google right now. Give it a few days and you should see everything come back. I have some content that was ranking and disappeared but it's not on Blogger. |

Here is something you can try to get your post indexed: After you post, ping your post with pingoat.com and pingomatic.com. Submit your post URL to digg.com and then also ping your digg with pingoat.com and pingomatic.com. Stat is what I do to all my blog post and they are usually indexed within 24 hours. You could also write an article and link it to your blog post from the resource box. Submitting the blog post to more social bookmarking websites will also help to get them indexed very fast. |

Some of these blogs have a few dozen posts over a few months, with every new post pinged, sometimes bookmarked via Onlywire. Mark | |

I think Google is doing a dance again. One of my blogs on blogger has been fluctuating in the rankings for the last week or so. I've nothing different then my usual backlink building, but it suddenly dropped from page 1 to page 4. Now it is starting to crawl back up.

@Mark: That's interesting. I thought that being a part of Google and all, it would be accepted into their SE index. I would think that they get no preferential treatment as such, but nonetheless, it should be index in there! What are your thoughts Mark? |
