RSS Feeds Improve SEO on Blogger?

Hey, guys. I know that RSS feeds can help improve SEO by constantly refreshing some of the content on your page. But I have heard that if you use javascript to display the feeds then it doesn't have any SEO benefits.

So my question is about adding RSS feeds on blogger blogs. There is a FEEDS GADGET that will display a feed on your blog, but do you know if this uses javascript or not? If so, is there another way to install the feed so I can get the SEO benefits?
