Wordpress blog indexed in Google in under 3 hours

Hey folks,

Today I created a new Wordpress blog and it was indexed in Google in under 3 hours. I'm well chuffed about this and I thought I'd detail what I did for anyone wanting the same results.

Installed Wordpress on server
Added theme of choice
Installed All-In-One-SEO-Pack plugin
Installed Google XML Sitemap Generator plugin
Installed Onlywire plugin (Onlywire.com account required)

I created 2 posts that were written by me and were unique content, not copied and pasted, not rewritten, genuinely unique.

I then added the new url to my Google Webmasters account, verified and submitted the sitemap/feed. I did the same on Yahoo! although the site hasn't appeared on Yahoo! yet.

I also created an 'About Us', 'Privacy Policy' and 'Contact Us' page on the blog.

I added Google Analytics code to track its progress.

Now I bookmarked the main url and the two posts using the Onlywire option on the blog. This was submitted to 12 social bookmarking sites.

I then went and made something to eat, worked on another site for about 40mins, checked google and there it was. You should have seen the smile on my face.

Now, that's not to say that Google will decide to de-index it, wait a few days and then add it again. This has happened to me in the past and I've learned to simply live with it, be patient, wait a few days and check again. There's no point in getting all worked up about it...'Have I been Banned' bla bla bla!

Ok so that's it, just wanted to let you know and hope this helps others out there.

Oh...I've just checked my main keyword and I am 21st out of 5,990. I'm off to throw a few backlinks at it now to keep it in that position or even improve on it.

Yes I too have had Goolge index my site in hours.....oh the power of social bookmarking! Good job though.
