Default Question about EzineArticles.com and SEO Density

Hello all. I've started to take the plunge into affiliate marketing and I'm a bit disappointed that Ezine won't take articles that are above 2% density. In fact, I'm not even sure what density is acceptable by them.

If Ezine won't take 2% density, what do they take? Also, for the experienced article marketers here, can you still get your stuff to rank at 1%? Thanks in advance.

Hi, generally, keeping it at 1% is acceptable for EzineArticles.

At that level, it is still possible to rank for long tails. For competitive terms, it is harder without any backlinking.

You will have to work harder in sieving out long tails that still attracts a good amount of traffic. Anything above 1000 - 3000 per month is acceptable.

Here's what Ezinearticles themselves has to say about keyword density: Article Writing & Marketing Insights - EzineArticles Blog

Keyword density isn't as important for ranking in Google as it used to be. With a really good quality article (taking LSI into account) you should be able to rank fine with 1% (depending of course on the quality and number of your competition).

Thanks for the responses. That makes me feel a little better... like I'm not wasting my time writing with them.

use it once per 100 words, anything more will trip their system and the article will not be allowed to be submitted. Instead of keyword density focus on using LSI or related keywords. And also make each article focus on two to three keywords not just one, you will get more traffic that way!

i do article marketing alot and the one keyword per 100 word rule of ezine just drives me nuts. But thats how they do things, i have experienced articles sent back to me because i have 3 keywords for a 290 word article.

I had to delete a pending article there recently because of this I was writing about alternative hot water and they said I used the word "water" too many times. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to phrase it differently.

not without making the article look like a horrible hack Wasn't willing to munge it just to get it accepted.
