Is It Appreciate Step by Digg?

Hi folks,

I just read this news on one of the blogs that Digg is going to remove the controversial 'shout' features. I think it would be a great step by Digg to prevent spammers from flooding the message system as many of them are hitting the front page by shouting friends in their network.

What do you think about it?

Digg sucks now, so maybe that will help. When I started using it about a year ago, I could get quite a few diggs for my articles pretty easily but then all those shout cartels popped up with the same few dozen people always on the front page.
