OK, so I've got a site that is 9 weeks old. There are 34 indexed pages (including sitemap, privacy etc) with unique content, there are 62 incoming links. Links are your typical ones from blogs, article directories and bookmarking. No high octane links at all. At the recent PR update my site went from a 0 to a PR of 3!! Six internal pages have a PR of 2, and four have a PR 1. And here I always thought that the number of links had to do with your PR. ![]() Can anyone explain how this new site could have gotten a PR 3? It is a very tight niche with closely related sub niches. All pages have a lot of naturally occurring keywords, the site was set up using a silo structure. If I know what it was I did, unless Google just made a mistake...lol... I'd love to repeat it on all my sites. Evita |

Hi Evita Without looking at your site it's impossible to say but from what you have written you have given Google what it wants and it has rewarded you. Tightly themed site, relevant authority links and great content, just as G likes! The number of links has nothing to do with PR. Well done. John |

Hi Evita, If you site content is original having a specific theme with backlinks from related sites/blogs/forums with good PR then you can get PR pretty quickly. I had a site which went to PR3 just after 5 weeks of the launch. My content was original, strict theme and only 10 backlinks from high PR relevant sites/forums. |

Depends upon the backlinks you have. The following count: 1. The number of backlniks. 2. The authority (PR) of each of those backlinks. 3. The anchor text of the backlink. 4. The relevance of the page passing the backlink. If you have done well in these factors, you would as well get a pagerank. |

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google. 2. Find tons of high-commission easy in less than a minute here. 3. War Room release on off-page SEO: Gege Robohop -"Incredible", say Warriors 4. Mindset matters. Look at my last year - nothing to do with IM. | |

WOW I didn't check inner pages, but in doing so a lot have been upgraded to PR 1, I'm worried thought that a very important page has now zero PR.

It is great to see such a quick increase in PR.. The best thing you do is to repeat the magic.. Try the same thing with another domain..It it works then you have the formula with you..

Yup, I'll continue to build more links. This site is a dud. But maybe someone wants a couple of links from it ;-) Evita |
