Does language matter?

Hi Warriors,

I am thinking using backlinks to boost search engine ranking of my website. However, the language of my website is not English and I guess the backlinks are all from English pages (backlink services).

I am wondering if it's still good for me to use backlink service? Has anyone tried the same thing before?

The best is to use the same language with your own sites. But you never know since we are not Google.

I believe backlinking would work best if linking sites are of the same criteria -same language and product market orientation.

We just never know if google translates and matches an english keyword from a linking site to a linked foreign site's keyword in that foreign language.

There are other important factors besides language: domain tld, data center location(where is your website hosted?).
