Do Fiverr SEO Gigs actually work?

Hi all,

I'd be really keen to hear if anyone is actually seeing real ranking results using any of the Fiverr SEO gigs?

There are so many to choose from and many get great ratings but those ratings seem to be on sales volume and delivery - there seems to be little feedback from people actually showing rank improvements.

What do you think - has anyone on Fiverr actually got a gig that has given results for Warriors?

Cheers in advance.

Darren

There are quality services on Fiverr but they are few and far between. 99.99% of backlink gigs will do more harm than good in the long run. Something simple like writing a unique article and posting it to a squidoo, hubpage, etc. could be useful.

Agreed. Don't go for the gigs saying mass quality link building. They are full of spam.

    Darren,

Create a list of specific questions and shoot them the short-listed providers to see who actually responds and value your concerns.

Of course there are but you will really need to dig down the right one and keep using him for long. If you purchase a gig don't leave a review too early, As alot of times you see results immediately or don't see results immediately and leave a review and the results changes over time and you can't help it.

Ask yourself what you would be willing to do for $5, and you'll find your answer.

      Thanks for the feedback Kevin.

I guess it depends on where in the world you are - $5USD is a lot of money in some countries - having said that, I hear what what you say.

On the other hand, when I look at what they offer and even in the case of say for example, manually posting links to high PR sites, I'd rather pay someone $5 for doing something like that rather than me spend 60minutes doing the same.... it depends also I guess what value we put on our own time.

Fiverr seo gigs sometimes work sometimes not. Because it depend's on luck.

If you got the right person with white hat link building strategy then it will be helpful for you. And if you got some blackhat link builder then you will hurt by the service.

It is better to post project in websites like; freelancer.

I have used fiverr for link building some of my websites, keywords with low competitions gain some ranking but for high competition keywords almost all the services I used were useless.
I would say go for it if your keywords are low to medium keywords.

There are great service on Fiverr but be sure that you know what you're buying.
$5 is not a point at all, beside I used only $15 to rank a mini niche site and got me over $20 as average per month.

Maybe you need to buy different gigs on Fiverr and also to do drip feed link building through the Fiverr to see good result on Google.

I'm sure you all already know the answer to this question. You can probably get surprisingly many links for a fiver, but you don't want that kind of links in the first place. I've tried one of the cheap link packages sold as WSO for a test project of mine, and it was just a pile of crap.

    Hi.

It depends on the kind of SEO inclination you have. There are some really good fiverr guys who can submit few manual high PR backlinks which actually helps. But if something is relatively too good to be true like "I can bring your site to Page1 for $5" or "I will manually submit 10000 links for $5" can never be good. Research your requirements before you go fishing.

Bottomline: "If its too good to be true, its probably not true". Be it via fiverr or WSO or any email campaigns.

As RyanLB pointed out, good gigs are hard to find on fiverr. Fiverr used to be a great site. But it has not been flooded by low quality providers. I prefer SEOClerks. Guys over there are much more responsible and genuinely expert.

If you see an offer like that for $5, it's not what you think. It is either a fake PR site or they are posting something to an internal page of a high PR domain. In other words, a PR n/a or PR 0 link is what you are actually getting.

They'll do stuff like blog comments or create a Web 2.0 page.

It's just junk. NOBODY is offering good links for $5. If they had good links they had the ability to create easily, people would be willing to pay a lot more than $5 for those. There is a reason they are selling on Fiverr.

It is true, last time I saw a fiverr offering a PR 3 home page backlink and nobody is buying, instead, those junks link like creating 10,000 backlinks stuff had many queue.

It's not that fiverr offering junk seo, is that nobody is interested in small amount of backlink, what most interested were, cheap, quantities and fast.

There are some gigs that are solid.

For example a gig that creates 36 local listings / citations at sites meant for that. My VA's can't do that for $5,-. I still have to try them some day.

For the rest I can't see much of value, they have 25 video submissions for 5 bucks but that ends up for the most part on shared accounts and 2 solid video sites and 23 crappy clones.

Same applies for most of the other stuff like free press release sites, web2.0's, bookmark sites all based on terrible spun content or you have to deliver your own content and social signals / links all as fake as it can be.

You can better use Fiverr for other purposes like:

          - custom coding for $5,-
          - photoshopping
          - proofreading content
          - etc.

You can get shafted on those just as easily as a junk SEO gig.

            Seriously, custom code for $5?

Proofreading, lol, I can see it now. The gig sales copy is probably full of typos.

There are some other things that Fiverr does well. Say voiceovers, press release submissions, infographics submission, video making and submissions( well some of these can be used for SEO), and again if you interviewing someone on your blog and need a cool caricature guess what you can get it on Fiverr.

      Here you go:

      Warrior Forum Classified Ads

I can tell you right now that the quality of the gigs doesn't become better when paying for add-ons, the only benefit might be that you get a unique article written but most of the time it's just more spammy links.

A few years ago most SEO gigs actually did something but now for any medium competition keyword you're really setting yourself up for failure. Link velocity is still way too high even for gigs that say they spread it out, not to mention most links wont last or are on junky, spammed sites. Web2.0's can still be handy though...

Fiverr gigs are only any good for 3rd or 4th tiered blasts for money sites or hitting posts/videos on well establish sites. My advice would be find a new approach to seo. It is very clear that big g knows what "basic" webmasters do to try and rank. Flip it on it's head and go after 10 high quality links a week.

Fiverr.com can be great for backlinking like to your Youtube videos to get fast rankings in google. I wouldn't really do it for your money site, it's spammy because to many backlinks to a site that is not a authority site will get your site sandboxed or worse de-indexed.

Fiverr.com is also great for outsourcing work like banner creation, articles etc. I must visit fiverr at least twice a week.

For $5.00 you won't get good and solid work... Especially SEO! SEO workers will charge AT least $100 for only a few advices or a few days work while on Fiverr they will receive only $4.00 ($1.00 fee!)... I would do it for SMALL and QUICK jobs only (like rank checking, article writing, receive a list of blogs or forums, etc.)

Seriously, someone on another thread mentioned building a buyer list from fiverr buyers, that's actually the best idea If seen in regards to fiverr. If the list will buy fiverr, they'll buy anything. It would be equivalent to owning an Amway email list.

If there's one, I've not seen it in the couple of months I've been trolling the forum. People don't seem to speak freely about their good methods for the fear that they become diluted or that Google is listening.

However, there's also a basic flaw in the idea of buying a cheap "linking package". Packages lack keyword, niche and industry research, the vendors don't take the time to understand what the company is trying to accomplish, and all the links are bound to be "artificial". Usually you get your links haphazardly slapped somewhere in the hope that it improves your rankings or at least doesn't get you penalized. In the "best case" scenario you might get an article on a niche site, but article usually comes from an article mill and the site might be borderline spam.

There's a lot of offerings in the WSO section, but many of them seem to be of the same basic idea that the one you bought. Well, at least the Fiverr blast was a bit cheaper...

Right, its just not worth it - but if it is a unique & manual link campaign for a handful of targeted keywords - there are still a ton that are more than worth it - just to save you the time from doing it manually yourself but Fiverr is def. not the place to do that lol :p

Fiverr SEO services are based on automated softwares like SENuke, Xrumer, etc.
Most of those softwares are in the target of Google antispam team. If you really appreciate your website avoid using those and focus on quality, content and building communities on social networks. I have ranked some websites solely by using Fiverr gigs, so the answer to the question, do they really work is Yes.
But, there is no magical or easy way to share. I have used over 500 gigs so far (you heard it right) and I have ordered some of them many time. (thousands of dollars in spend), that's how I know what gigs are worthy and what gigs are not and where and when to use each gig as my overall SEO strategy.
So, your question is similar to "Does Adsense really work?" or "Can I make thousands of dollars with Adsense?". You bet you can, but you should be willing to do the work and the investment. No relationship that works is a one night stand, and Fiverr is the same way. If you expect to buy one $5 gig and that works for you, hell no, but if you have a system and strategy in place and you use quality Fiverr gigs selectively (based on experience and enough knowledge not only their rating), and BTW there are many of them, it works.

Of course it doesn't. The provider is only getting $4. How much care and attention do you think they can devote to your site?

It's all questionable/automatic stuff that will probably get you deindexed eventually.

      This is very simplistic.

There are a lot of providers on Fiverr who come from countries where $4 US is not an insignificant amount of money.

Like SEO services from all over the place, some will be bad and some will be good, but completely ruling out everything from Fiverr is a mistake, in my opinion.

It's hard to find a person on fiverr who'll really deliver the goods for 5 bucks. You have to go through a lot of gigs before you'll find one good seller. I think you'd be better off searching google for your niche, find a high pr site and offer them a hundred buck to link back to your site. You'll spend about the same amount on fiverr but achieve better results.. and not have to worry about penalties down the road.

One of my sites was manually slapped for crappy links by google on a site I ran through a fiverr link building gig.

    Never again.

You must be pretty careful with links on your main sites, and less careful on sites you aren't as concerned with.

I would buy GSA Search Engine Ranker, that does the job of any fivrr for $79 for the rest of your life.

I've also noticed gigs that do link spam and declare they are posting to "PR 10" sites will have 100% feedback from idiots that don't realize they're actually getting PR0 sites.

You can get results but you have to spend like $100 minimum and start with 20 gigs, get a wide variety, and send them all to indexification.

Thats how you do proper "fiver seo". You rank with spam. Buy a few high pr links on top of that and you're set.

If its a video it will last for as long as you maintain links.

If its a site it can last for 9, 12+ months if you do it right. Google doesn't always get you as quick as you think. I mainly use GSA these days for my blackhat sites and some of the results have blown my mind.

Just keep in mind, if you're going to automate links do it yourself. You will save a lot of money in the long run. $200 gets you GSA + Captcha Breaker 1 time fee. Then you can get a VPS for $28 + $10-$17 / month for indexification = $38 - $45 / month total.

Then you can add 20-30 semi private proxies but I use public and get 100k+ links / day.

The point is yes you can rank with spam, videos work best, sites are volatile but can make you a lot more money.

I've spent probably hundreds of dollars on fiverr in 2-3 years. Yeah many of them are crappy, but i usually never use these gigs for the money site anyway, with dozens of quality web 2.0 properties you can test out and weed out the bad and the good.
There are some good social share (fb like + retweet + stumbleupon, etc), press release and edu/gov link gigs.

Depends on what you want to achieve.

Some of the gigs might work as a Negative SEO (not giving anyone bad ideas they are going to regret most likely)

For me I have tested several fiverr gigs for YouTube videos ranking, and some 2nd/3rd tiers - for this they work. I, however, would never send any of these links to my money site.

SEO gigs from Fiverr are pure GARBAGE in General. For 5$ don`t expect any tangible results. 98% are chinese scammers. The restant is hard to find among these chinese scam artists and will hardly offer you real SEO for $5. SEO is daily work and requires consistent effort.

Hiring right people for the right jobs wil not only maximize your chances on ranking, but it also saved you money as well. I have seen lots of people keep fighting for edu, gov backlinks to boost their seo/ranking positions. I CAN rank with no links building.

Dominating the "Top 3 Search engines" as PR1 is the perfect price. And that's what I did, with the right network.

I would consider fiverr as second hand or backup network for landing page etc.
I wouldn't count on it on my FREE seo traffic.

I'm impressed by the right people I worked with, I never seen anyone dominating:

    1. GOOGLE
    2. YAHOO
    3. BING

As PageRank #1 within 24 hrs with the same website, yet same website with no backlinks etc. It's all FREE SEO TRAFFIC.

Yes, there are some gigs on fiverr that have some seo value. I hate throwing up numbers but in my experience i would have to say that 75%+ of seo gigs are not worth anything. Of course this is my opinion but fiverr and seo is just a bad mix.

Fiverr is good for things that are worth 5$. Things that are higher in price can't be delivered in the same quality for 5$. Getting a good SEO work on fiverr for 5$ is also a chance and it doesn't get you good quality again. It can give some benefit. The chance to get a really good work on fiverr for 5$ is very low. So if you ask me, don't get SEO works to be done from fiverr. Maybe some on-page seo gigs may be good to purchase on fiverr or some articles.

It depends a lot on the niche you are in and your long-term strategy.

If you want to build a long term reputation for your website, you better try using private blog networks for backlinking and avoid fiverr completely.

If you are in a very competitive niche with a high ROI and just want to milk your money site for 5-6 months (until you get a Google penalty), then fiverr is the answer.
Just variate on .pdf, guest posting, high PR, DA and dif class C, youtube videos, social bookmarking, sape etc. Don't over-diversify the anchor texts, focus on 3-4 keywords so you can rank faster with less money. Just don't fall in love with your website, it won't last too much

Why not use SEOClerks.com for SEO services? because it's targeted towards one category and would attract many freelancers. I do super well there, sellers are very talented and skillful. Also they came up with their new marketplace i.e. ListingDock.com, amazing place to showcase your crafted items, so far great experience.

I am not sure if really the Fiverr Gigs work, I do have used some of Fiver Gig but I have never used as Tier1, mostly I use as Tier2 and couple to get facebook likes couple with writing job.

But what I really surprise is that, many knows especially SEO professionals know that fiver gigs are a real crap then how come many many fiver guys offering seo backlink services are making huge sales? It is really a surprising, I have seen many I repeat many many who have about 1k, 5k even 10k sales over last 2 years and there are already 10s and 100s of ongoing work with them.

      Two reasons.

      1) People are dumb.

      2) The mechanism behind Fiverr reviews is not suited to really evaluate SEO type gigs. You can leave a review after the work is done. You cannot come back 4 months later and leave another review after Google has tanked your website.

Even if any of SEO gigs on Fiverr works, it will not last. Sooner or later, your site will be penalized or sandboxed.

Just think about are you willing to do good backlinks for just 3.75 dollars ?? no one would.. i mean if really works, why don't they ranking their niche websites with CPA offers (i think that would make even more than Fiverr)

Also, you do realize that backlinking is not important as it used to be any more? social signals are weighted more. Out of top 5 ranking factors, 4 of 5 are social signals from different platform.

That is total horsecrap. The problem with their study on social signals is they did not actually try to rank anything using them.

They took sites already ranking and analyzed data on those sites.

So do those sites have great rankings because of the social signals, or did they get the social signals because of the traffic that the rankings brought?

      Likely the latter.

Rank a site based on social signals for something moderately competitive. Then you can tell people that social signals are a major ranking factor.

There was a time when the SEO gigs over at Fiverr did a decent job at getting sites traffic.

But these days with the constant changes at Google, Fiverr gigs at best in my opinion would be a very short term solution and could easily damage your sites reputation in the eyes of Google.

Well most gigs on fiverr doesn't do well but it doesn't mean that there isn't. You just have to find that small percentage to have the right gig.

I'll tell you why people flock to fiverr, it's the same reason Subway restaurants figured out that $5 is a magic number when it comes to selling a product. No joke, do some research on Subway history & how they figured out the $5 marketing to boost sales.

I really don't see how these people, even in the Far East can afford to create links for you in an ethical manner - i.e. not just spamming the same 20 sites - for $5

I would either create them yourself if you have the time or be prepared to spend more than that if you don't and you want to see real results.

Be aware it's also about the variety of backlinks pointing to your site. Too many people say just get quality links and no "spammy" ones but think about it, how natural does that look.

      Variety is king.

It depends on if you want quantity or quality, good gigs are hard to find on fiverr but they are available.

Yes, it works. I think you can select SEO gigs that have a live portfolio and those sellers should provide a report, So that satisfied buyers can post to the world. Also, read the reviews and make sure people are happy.

I will not risk any project with those links, it`s a crap ,most of it.
If you looking for a blast of your 2nd tier it can be used, but for 1st tier you should avoid that ,penalization will comes sooner than you can imagine (:

It has been about 8 months since Google's last pagerank update, but when another update takes place, I'll let you know. I just purchased 140 high PR low obl comments with do-follow links on fiverr. I checked the links and they all have niche-specific keywords for anchor text. Hope it works!

yes, they work but keep in mind. You want to be smart about your link building. There are service providers out there that are GREAT on FIVER and work like a charm. There are others who use spammy softwares that only hurt your ranking. If you built Tier 1 links then maybe think about building links to those links.

Just link in moderation and only point links to your site that are authoritative. Then backlink to those authority links. Just a thought.

    Good Luck!

I've found some gigs that have boosted the rank of some of my web 2.0 pages. Mostly they were SENUKE gigs and you have to be very careful about your anchor text. For $5 you need to very specific with the person you're dealing with pretty much they are just running the software for you nothing more. I also noticed that the boost in rank is mostly temporary so it is just a short term way to get some exposure.

I have had very mixed experiences on Fiverr. You need to make sure that you are using a trusted vendor or you can end up in very hot water

Stay away from buying backlinks services on fiver, cos mostly they are based on Xrumer blasts or blog comment spam. It is too risky for pointing such backlinks to the money site, sometimes even to the 2nd tier.

SEO services from fiver is a crap, belive me. If you are looking for a really high quality service check some WSO from trusted Warrior or go to elance, freelancer and any other service witch provides comments of real customers.

I know on fiver people also comments but mostly they are buying blasts for 2nd and lower tiers. So if you are thinking about building backlinks to your moneysite you should forget about fiverr.

Regarding SEO... What works for me is using Fiverr to dilute my site/webpage's main keyword when trying to balance link diversity that wasn't balanced correctly. I don't use Fiverr for my main and secondary keywords. Stay away from gigs that offer 1000, 10,000, 20,000+ blast to different sites, unless trying to dilute your main or secondary keywords but don't blast to more than 1000 sites. I don't use gigs with contextual backlinks in blogrolls or on homepages that eventually rolls down to secondary pages either. You are better off building your own PBN (private blog network) or use a trusted and experienced service that allows permanent contextual homepage anchor text, perhaps one on warrior, for your main and secondary keywords.
