Just minuets later, my post is listed as number one on google under. does fantastico suck - Google Search Now that is just plain cool stuff... How fast have you seen your wordpress website post get indexed? |

it's not about wordpress! Google will cache any website in 10 minutes! Google looks for consistent change and if you have change they will cache your websites fast! Maybe with wordprsess they read rss? |

It's about PR and PR heavy links. If your blog is linked from a high PR website that gets indexed often, you get crawled more often. I'm guessing you had a post here that linked to your blog somewhere and google slurped up WF and followed it right to your blog.

Well, that is interesting, I know one thing I did a search before I made a post and of course there was nothing with my website there. After the post, Boom... its right at the top, now that will be gone in a few I expect, but what ever the reason, it is something I would like to happen all the time, my traffic yesterday jumped by over 2000 percent in Google Analytics. There are always lots of google theories, I certainly dont claim to have any inside information, well not much inside information, ) So I am doing something right,) thanks for the comment, |

It does work and Google does look for constant fresh content and if you are a provider of such "High" frequency content they will be back to see what you have to say. High PR links to your site can help build credibility in the eyes of Google and their bots for your sites "Authority" and can have an influence on how quick they come back to see you. Ultimately it is up to you and how often you update your site. I just wish more people took note and stopped letting their sites die from lack of attention ![]() All the best, Sean |

It may be there now, but in a few hours it may disappear again.

| I have seen this happening very frequently with Google, the page gets indexes very fast, in 6 to 12 hours or so. If you type in the whole post title in Google and search you will see it appear within 12 hours. Now try reducing the length of the search query and check with your main keywords and see. You won’t find it. It takes time for the page link to appear for the keywords you targeting depending on the competition. In your case your post title and the page name itself has the main keyword. But i wouldn’t agree with your post though, I would say Fantastico scripts are any time better, and Wordpress is only a tiny part of it. how about when you have to install 100's pf wordpress blogs, what would you prefer? You have not stated any clear benefits of installing Wordpress the hard way like you say on the site “ Do it on your own” or do it the easy way with Fantastico scripts And moreover Fantastico is a well known service online and any posts with the word “suck” in it gets displayed faster for anybody researching about Fantastico. It is a quick way of getting traffic using another well known brand name. |

I have a blog on WordPress about dogs. I had to move last month, so I was offline most of the month. When I finally got back on, my last 3 blogs had just disappeared from WordPress!! I am having to reset them. What am I doing -- or not doing -- that causes this? Cynthia

Hi, actually fantastico is really that bad, why? well I think I covered it fairly well, I am selling a product that is actually better than fantastico, Which is why I created the product because fantastico is so very bad, not only is it bad for the user it is also very bad for the websites that use the root like script to install it, truly, it is the worst thing you can do. And if you doubt it, I will challenge you to a test, You install using fantastico, I will install a blog using my software, My blog will get indexed by google long before a fantastico installed blog will if it ever does get indexed at all, There are reasons why this is true I am not just making it up... just for the fun of conversation, it is from the experience of using wordpress when using wordpress was not cool. I just know that when you have to upgrade from one version of WP to the next, you are in for lots of trouble, if you are using plugins that are custom made plugins you will have problems if you install using fantastico you will eventually regret doing so, I know that anytime you install a wordpress blog using fantastico you are not the owner of the file system that fantastico installs, because most of the time you cannot login using root, You see what I mean here if you do not have root access dont use fantastico and I say that with all respect and no ill will at all. what i intend to say is that we live in a fast work, where we need things to be more easier and quicker and not to complicate things doing it the old fashioned way. it is good to know to install it the regular way, but still its a waste of tiem if you have to do it on 100 blogs id say.

| This seems to be more of an issue with ping services than Worpress itself. I've had brand new domains indexed within an hour or two by using a few pinging sites.

Google is so cool. I remember way back before blog and ping... it is so amazing to be indexed in 10 minutes. Hooray for the big G.
