Got in Google's First Page in 4 hours

Hello Warriors,

I've been reading a lot and trying to learn this SEO and marketing stuff. Today I wrote and posted a post at 5:30pm and when I got back from my run and checked, the post was 2nd in the results for a keyword. The post is also in the first page at bing and nowhere to be found in yahoo. It was 9:30pm.

Maybe the reason I was up there so quickly is nobody searches for that keyword haha.

Anyway, how did I do it?

1. Wrote a post with unique content.

2. Minor SEO. Put keyword in title, description, keywords, content.

3. Went to pingomatic and submitted there.

3. Used OnlyWire to bookmard the post. I only sent to digg, stumble, reddit.

That's it.

Maybe not gonna make any money from it but my main goal is to learn SEO first and it's a good start.

By the way the keyword is "kirstie alley is so fat" and i'm the 2nd in the search results (the one with the so fat jokes).

I guess there's no other way to break this to ya than to p*ss on your parade (sorry)...

There are only 50 pages with that exact phrase on them that Google has indexed. That might as well be none. That's why you ranked so high. The good news is that Google picked your page up, so the linking you did worked. Keep doing what you did, but find keywords that people actually search for and then you'll make some $$$ (maybe).

I guess the challenge nowadays is not necessary to get indexed... you can do it easily!... but to stay as higher and as long is possible for money making keywords/keyphrases.

That's a great objective...

You can get on page 1 result 1 with such lame keywords and by posting 1 lame post in 1 good forum, not that complicated, so you really didn't make anything special here - sorry.

Hmm, I wondering if writing a "jokes" website repeating my keywords over and over will help my rankings, conversions, and bank account.
