link units or ad units

I've never tried link units.

Anyone have some insight?

link units look like this:Ads by Google: Ring New Rings Ring Fact Buy Rings Cheap Rings

link units or ad units both type of adsense ads on my sites, and I assign channels to each ad so I can see which type of ad gives the best result.
