It's the content once again. The same stuff that the big sites in that space are also using, the difference being that they're able to write a good click-bait titles and punchy text. Several titles are just wrong for the content, and the text below feels like spam. There's a ton of pages with broken shortcodes, unnecessary words in titles ("free", "funny"), and random changes in language.

Take "Funny Flying Car" for example. Title just completely ruins the joke. The spammy bit below the image prevents any thinking person from linking to it. Well, unless there's some sort of meta spam joke there, but I'm way too serious for that.

The right-side box seems to be using wrong title field for the listing, which makes it hard to read.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

You are competing in a super competitive niche. For this type of sites, try social media. But make sure the content you share has your site/link in them for exposure.

That's a good tip. Social media is the way to go with this stuff. There's a ton of huge joke pages littering Facebook.

I have noticed on my politics blog that I get 10-15 visitors a day if and only if I post once or twice a day, otherwise it drops to 0 visitors a day.

There is a reason why there are more six figure YouTube accounts than there are six figure bloggers out there. Blogging just doesn't interest enough people...people like to watch stupid crap on the internet.

However, I also blog for a popular sports blog that gets about 500k-1M visitors a month and it was just us blogging to ourselves for the first two years from 2006-2007. Of course, its owned by a corporate entity and I make a grand total of $100 a month for my blogging efforts - yippie! They are just lucky I'm a huge fan of the team and would do it for free if they asked (suckers!).

Anyway, my point is, if you are looking to make a livable income on the Internet ... blogging is NOT the way to do it. It is the most labor intensive activity for the lowest return on that time investment. Success stories are just too far and few between compared to other outlets.

There is a good reason you are not getting traffic.

First off your sit is very slow. It took me a long time to load many times I would just move on instead of visting.

Second your layout just doesn't make any sense. Who is your target? I have no idea why I should return.

If you truly want to make money. Profile the type of person who you want to visit and then create a site for them. SEO should be second to that.

You have a product so you need to go out and find the people who will buy. You can not just sit and wait for the world to come to you. In your case it readers of your blog.

There are many ways more then google to bring traffic into your site. Concentrate on alternative first then eventually google will follow.

There is lots of money in blogging just most people suck at it. If you have a business online you need to have technical know how or be willing to pay for it. System Engineers easily cost companies over $100 an hour.

Try to attract traffic from other sources like Social Media. When you start getting tons of traffic from SM like Pinterest, Tumblr,...Google will notice you too! It is much easier (and faster) generating traffic from sm!

Trying to keep a website up to date for all the Google updates made me feel like a rat in a maze. I only have so much time, and decided to spend the majority of it creating content these days, instead of keeping the website up to date with SEO.

I pretty much committed SEO jihad a couple of years ago by removing all the ugly text links to my pages, as well as all the text I wrote that I didn't feel helped sell the product to the visitors. Search engine traffic tanked, but sales went up. I also reduced my SEO work time by about 90% to concentrate on content creation, social media, and advertising . Traffic, referrals, sales, and profits are higher than ever these days.

If you sick of SEO, concentrate your efforts elsewhere. You can always go back to it again later if you want.

adilimran, that's a normal feeling ...SEO is not a one time shot...

If you don't know SEO, then you have to take actions, learn about SEO and try to LOVE it as you go around.

    Big tip for people here:

Paid traffic is the way to go.

    Why?

Because you don't have to always worry about

updates with cute animal names affecting your traffic flow.

I think that you should dump blogging and do more videos.

Google just had a penalty field day with guest blogging....

    Hi tigermannan,

To promote this kind of high competitive sites you need to use Social media sites.
Also look for fresh and unique content. Promote that content with Social Media sites.
    Work for High quality backlinks.

With this you will get some improvement i hope.

That's what all struggle about seo. You can launch a fanpage and also a twitter account and use some other social media. Social bookmarking too. Build your community. This will help you a lot to get traffic. Sometimes instead of taking action only for seo it's better to get in the search from where we can get visitors too. If your content is really good and the jokes are interesting then a lot of people will start joining on social media to follow your stuff. Your niche is too competetive and building your own audience will help you to get you out of struggling.

Telling the op and adilimran to keep pluggin away is simply wasting their time. The two websites here simply are not good. Both the topics and subject matter is useless to most people. If you have only 10-15 vistors after 2 years of SEO it's time to dump your site. They need to improve the user experience and or dump the topics. They also need to spend money and get better servers.

If your not willing to do that then it's best to move on. At this point SEO is useless and waste of time.

You also need content that people want to read. Concentrate on that first. You also do not have to wait to see if your content is something people want. Spend 30-$50 on advertising on Stumbleupon and let it fly. Look at the results and see what pages people like and didn't like. Concentrate on your pages more then 60% liked. If all your pages are under 50% don't waste your time.

The two pages I have seen mentioned here are simply not good. SEO is only worthwhile if people like what they see.
