Any Advanced SEO Warrior Here? Need Your Suggestion?

Hi Warriors,

I want to put my question directly without explaining any background.

Let me put up a scenario that you have client called "ABC Inc" and their website is abc.com now you or your SEO agency has done some bad link building and you got unnatural link penalty from Google.

Now the one and only remedy is to clean up the backlinks and submitting for a reconsideration request for an manual review of the site. The website has about 2-3 lakhs backlinks and it's really very tough to get that manually removed, even using "google disavow tool". Google strongly recommending to manually contact all webmaster to remove your backlink and need clear documentation for submitting.

Now what if the company changes their affected domain to abc.org or abc.biz or abc.us or any CLTD. I know that am going to loose all my SEO efforts done till now, the ultimate plan here is to create a new domain and start doing proper SEO from scratch instead of doing manual link removal.

Will still Google will consider abc.com and the new domain or .org as same and use the link penalty will still be a problem or it wont ?


The above mentioned scenario is what am facing with a new SEO consulting client & i need some suggestion so that i can take to them to propose a plan of action on this.
