Default Adsense in Wordpress posts

I set up Adsense on the post page of my WP blog.

Only one of the posts is ranking in Google, it's at about position 15 (middle of page 2).

The problem is the post that's ranking does not contain my Adsense ads and I don't know how to get them in there.

What am I doing wrong? How do I change it so that my Adsense ads show in every post, not just on the theme widget bar?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I think you need to google for wordpress plugins that do just this thing. There are lots of it in the net.

Mitsu,

you could always go back in, edit your article and add manually add adsense to the post.

Hope that helps.

I do what Erics suggesting because - I just got adsense and havent quite mastered the post .php file edit yet!

I found there are a heap of plugins but they just werent happening so I just have the code and paste it into each article now, which also allows for different placement through content to avoid 'ad blindness' by readers!

hope that helps too!

Depending on which theme you are using, you can edit the html of the "single post" and ad your adsense code there. Some themes have it marked as to where to place it others you just have to learn where by trial and error. Keep at it and you will learn.

Just copy paste the adsense code directly into you article for now so you might get some traffic.

Work on your SEO 15 is not going to get you much

There are two plugins I highly recommend for Adsense in Wordpress.

All in One Adsense and YPN
This will automatically place from 1 to 3 ads in your posts. You can set pre-defined positions and sizes, or allow it to randomly place an ad. I find randomization works best most of the time, I believe, because you avoid the "ad blindness" from having the same block at the same position on every page.

Google Analyticator
They have recently updated this plugin to integrate with the Adsense tracking added to Google Analytics. I have been surprised about which pages get the most clicks, and learned a lot about which referring keywords give me the most Adsense clicks (you wouldn't think there would be much of a pattern, but there are strong patterns emerging).

You will have to search for these plugins by the titles above - my post count isn't high enough to post links yet.

I place adsense directly in the Wordpress code itself, and adsense will appear on every single post and page on your blog.

Placing adsense in the WP code sounds difficult, but it is actually very simple and easy to do.I learned how to do it here:
