There are some websites which give information about expired domain name. Search in Google, you will get good list. If expired domains have backlinks then these are useful. Create account in Flippa, there is step by step guidelines to verify account.

ExpiredDomains.net is a free service to find them. Or you can use paid (But worth it) services like FreshDrop.

There is a lot you can do with them like using them for SEO, turning them into real sites or flipping them in some cases.

    Hi rizwan,

focus on PA (Page Authority) and DA (Domain Authority) when buying expired domains as Page Rank (PR) can be faked.

If you followup on the many threads on here about expired domains you can find a lot of valuable information for analysing expired domains and establishing what the domain value is really worth.

Personally I use Register Compass (paid service) which provides a detailed analysis of expiring domains, expired domains and domains up for auction.

Also focus on your stratgey once you acquire the domain - flipping is one stragey of numerous. I have personally built my own network of sites and can rank a new site relatively quickly leveraging my own network.

    Hope this helps

      DA/PA can also be faked.

It's not too difficult to flush out fake PR, it's usually obvious just looking at the link profile & domain history.

Matt offers a few rules of thumb to check to make sure you’re not buying a domain that spammers have burnt to the ground. Number one is to do a search for the domain by typing the command “site:domain.com” into the Google search bar. If there are no results at all for that domain, you should take that as a pretty bad sign.
That's complete nonsense for a domain that hasn't had a live site built for a while (months/years). The domain could easily still be a valuable asset If it has a good link profile & possibly built in same niche direct traffic. Do the research as usual checking the link profile & Wayback for domain abuse by previous domain owners.

After buying the domain at least rank a single page from that domain before using it as backlink source. If the domain won't rank for a low comp. longtail keyword something is wrong...

          Don't believe everything you read.
