Hello,

How does Google see blogs network (such as one created on buddypress) for adsense? We won't be selling links but there will be adsense on the blogs created by the users.

Best regards,

Blog networks are good, but only if you do them properly or Google will penalise it.

It all comes down to the content. If it's low quality or auto-generated in any way, don't even think about using Adsense. If it's high-quality and not in any shady niches it would probably be OK (but no one can ever say for sure with Adsense...)

Well the content will be generated by the users

Unless you are going to moderate every post they make, I would not risk your AdSense account then. Ultimately, you are responsible for the content where your AdSense ads appear.

What if I find a way to stop my ads appearing when a specific topic is mentionned?

That still doesn't prevent them from posting spun or scraped content from elsewhere.

So there's no way to use adsense on a buddypress blog network?

                I did not say that.

I said you would just need to moderate everything that is posted.

Not sure why you would want to use AdSense anyhow. You can likely make more money with other forms of monetization.

You could let your users unlock premium features and areas of the site either through direct billing with PayPal or by using an Offer Wall/Content Locker tool. These tools allow your users to participate in affiliate marketing offers which will earn you commission and allow your users to unlock premium content. Those tools can easily integrate into your site/blog/app and you can use them along with AdSense and other display advertising. Good luck!

I'm planning to offer a yearly subscription to remove the adsense ads + others functions (premium themes etc...)

Joining an ad network is an easy way to monetize a blog. Before signing up with a blog ad network, find out:
    • Are they signing up new bloggers or is it by invite only?
    • What are the network’s requirements such as traffic, frequency of posting, profanity, etc.?
    • Are you allowed to do sponsored posting?
