|  How long does Google take to pick up my backlinks.
I have been working on my backlinking strategy but for some reason Google doesn't seem to be picking them up. Does anyone know how long it takes. Thanks  |

it depends on the site where your back links are located, if the site has higher page rank and Google crawls the site often it should not take more than a week, but it entirely depends on the site where you back links are located.

When you do a "link:" search with Google it doesn't return all the backlinks you have, just a subset of them. Rest assured that it will find 95% of them and just keep building. For a more accurate look at all the backlinks you've got - Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer Cheers, Andy |

if I want a backlink crawled, I usually do social bookmarking. sites like mixx and digg get crawed regulary. I did this last night and got my new site index

If I've commented on a blog, I usually bookmark it with OnlyWire.com. Most links show up in Yahoo Site Explorer within a week. Link Diagnosis - examine your link competition is another excellent site for checking out backlinks; it also shows PR and whether the link is no/dofollow. It gets it info from Yahoo! |

I used to get my new blog posting indexed in 1 hour. I used to just submit them to three social bookmarking sites..... I was also an active person in forums that had my signature going to the pages I had new articles posting 2. Well I stopped the forum and just did social bookmarking website and it started taking me 1 week to get indexed. So my conclusion from this is submit to a couple of social sites and be active in forums and they will be indexed in no time. Thanks, Brian P |
