I have tested several CPA campaigns, and have found a consistent problem. I can get all the traffic I can buy, as long as I'm making a loss! When I notch the bids down to break-even, the impressions slow to a crawl. If I bump my bids down to profit-making levels, the impressions and clicks are very few! The problem is that clicks in the <.10 area are for low-volume keywords, or unwanted keywords that are unrelated to my advert. If I want any decent volumes, I'm competing with other advertisers who are happy to bid more than I want to.. I've tried Search, Content, Placement, and Image ads. The cheap clicks for targeted traffic/keywords are very low volume. Any suggestions on how to get those cheap clicks, in volume, for targeted traffic? |

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

It all comes down to how relevant your entire ad and campaign group is towards the keyword phrase you're going for. Each primary keyword phrase you want to target should have its own campaign group.

| I think I have that part handled very well. Would you care to review it in PM? I'd really appreciate the help...

As busy as I am, I'll have to pass. Hopefully someone else can take a look. Good luck.

| Well, I have a separate campaign and ad group for themed keywords, and the landing page is customized for that theme, and the advert text is also suited to that theme. Also, the domain name has the main keyword in it.

Hello, i had a wso recently (it's still in my signature) in regards to cheap clicks on google SEARCH network. I can tell you right now i have a good volume KW running where i get 0.06 per click - on search. If you do keyword research eg. using the Google keyword tool - do NOT always take those numbers as granted. There might be keywords show up listed as $0.20 to get on page #1 ...but in reality i bid $0.06 for page #1 ![]() If a KW is in the $0.15-$0.20 range its already a good indicator. Also..there ARE plenty of KW with HIGH volume which are cheap - and especially for CPA (where you have more flexibiltiy) they can be very well related to what you offer. Example: You have a CPA offer for a coupon for a big, known store or brand. You would be surprised, but there are some gems! In regards to CONTENT network: I personally am disappinted with Content - EVEN with image banners. Some niches are as expensive on content network as they're on search almost. Try getting your ad to show for credit/insurance placement targeting under $0.80...its almost impossible. |
