Hello guys, still fairly new here and on a non stop learning curve! I recently joined neurolinker and as part of this i have had to generate hundreds of outgoing links from my sites! Now i am sure i have read that out going links from a site is bad for seo, have i got this correct? I have also noticed that since i added neurolinker to 2 sites both have dropped off page 1 into obscurity. Is this just google bounce as the sites are both within 2 months or so old, or have the neurolinker outgoing links just blown my page position? This would be a bit ironic when i am trying to improve page position not lose it! I am away to as the same questions to Neurolinker, but wanted an unbiased opinion from you fantastic Warriors! Thanks in advance Paul |

This is definitely not a thing that I would do, I assume that outgoing links delude your "SEO juice" and it should affect ranking. BUT Despite what I said, I noticed a funny paradox. Recently we pushed (in 4 months) a site of our client to Google page 1 for a very tough forex keyword (that was a fresh site). And we pushed it despite the fact that he was publishing several posts per day with 3 outgoing links in each post. And no problems. He is page 1, position #2. With multi million businesses around his site. And outgoing links did not harm anything. |

I have actually seen positive affects if you link out to a relevent useful link on a specific page, if it adds to the content of the page I'm sure it helps for SEO purposes. I don't think it would hurt in moderation, letting users post links on my blogs to useful pages also seems to have no adverse affect. But hundreds is surely going to raise a few red flags unless you have a site with massive traffic - you'll look like a paid directory. Surely this is something the neurolinker people have covered in some way ??? Neil |

New sites will bounce around at first but eventually settle down. Adding a lot of outbound links probably isn't a good idea unless you're intention is to operate a directory or social bookmarking site. You can have successful sites that have a lot of outbound links, I have several, but it does take some work to keep things clean and natural looking. Links pages generally don't cut it. |

I'm going to disagree with the majority here. While tons of outbound links are in general a bad thing, NeuroLinker is a 3-Way Type of linking co-op. In the end, you end up getting back as many links as you throw out...so it's like a zero sum game.... ...but not really. See the the links in these things are all usually anchor text links so all the inbound links get a "anchor" bonus as they relate to your keyword. If you use "juice" as an example you might have two 5 gallon buckets. You have 1 gallon of water to give away in Bucket A and an empty Bucket B. You give away your gallon of water to someone you don't know and when all is said and done you get about 1.25 gallons poured into your Bucket B. That's the effect of having all the links anchored to your site properly. |
