I have a blog that's optimized for some specific keywords and I'm trying to expand into other terms (plyometric exercises). I'm adding articles almost daily with descriptive titles and links with anchor text but I'm not showing up in the search engines for "plyometric exercises"
What should I do to get recognized for "plyometric exercises" and move up in rankings given the fact that I'm adding descriptive content daily? There are other much weaker sites on the second page of Google for these terms. Why is that? Thanks. |

"plyometric exercises" only has 33,500 results in Google, so it should not be very hard to rank for. If you're building links with the right anchor text, you are doing your off page seo. How old is the site? That makes a big difference. If it is brand new, it might not rank well for weeks or months - but that is not always the case.
I wonder about your on-page seo. Are you using title tags and h1 tags properly? Are you making sure you're not keyword stuffing. Take a look at this tool - it really gives you a lot of info about your on-page seo. SEO Workers Search Engine Optimization Analysis Tool I hope this helps you. Without knowing a LOT more, no one will be able to give you much more help. Good luck! |

NickL,
Thanks for the response. Maybe I'm guilty of keyword stuffing, but I'm not sure. I'm adding "plyometric exercises" to the bottom of my posts with h3 tags. The site is about a month old and I'm getting good traffic and rankings for "isometric exercises", and despite building links and having on-page links with the words "plyometric exercises" I'm still not showing up. Maybe the search engines need more time. Thanks for your feedback. |
