What's your magic CTR, when do you delete keywords or adgroups? Wasn't it like 1.5% CTR - where people say to scrap everything below 1.5%? |

George: For me, 1.5% is too low. If an ad isn't getting at LEAST 2.0%, I throw up more alternative ads until I find one that gets at least 2%. |

I agree w/ Steven. 1.5% is a little to low. I would start adjusting a little. It takes a while to find out which ad gets a high ctr - but I think almost all SEO specialists have been through it.

And really, 2.0% is my absolute bottom line. If an ad isn't getting 5.0% plus, then I'm actively testing new ads against those keywords until I find some that do get 5%.

I wouldn't use absolute numbers but relative ones. Say below 50% of the group average. So if the group does 4%, when a keyword drops below 2%, it may mean it's time to put the keyword into its own group with its own ads. You also need enough impressions. I wouldn't delete the keyword if it was 0/10, that's just not enough data.

I agree with Steven Carl Kelly, a good range for me is 2-4%, anything below 2% means I am doing something wrong and should probably fix it. It's definitely a red flag when it's that low. Don't forget, your traffic levels also comes into play when you're delving in your stats.
