Default Density discussion...

I'm trying to get listed on the first page of google on a very popular term with crazy competition.

I have noticed that for this 2 word term the sites ranked in the first page got density of 8 for the first site, and 2.5 for the 10th site.
my density for this term is only 1.1 .

however sonce my Text is longer i have it apearing much more times on my webpage.

can anyone that really knows this subject and got experience with it tell me how important the density is and how is my density compared to the other sites i mentioned?

i am working on all other aspects of SEO, but since it's a very very popular term i need to win on every one of them.

thank you

SEO takes time, technique, and skill (as well as growing backlinks). This means you can't spam out all your backlinks in 1 month. Dead ringer for Google. Good websites grow. Build one like that, and don't worry about keyword density.

i didn't mean to "spam all my backlinks at 1 month"
i know it's a process.

but i do find it important to see how the competition is doing. and their density is 2.5 - 8 - which is much higher then mine.
so my opinion is that density is very relevant.

I'll alert all the movie studio and other viral sites about this.

Oh, and I've got a brand new competitor I need to take out. I guess I need to go get them a lot of links.

Google doesn't rank sites based on keyword density so forget it. You should concentrate on link building and publishing quality content. And if you want to get all your on-page SEO right, go read The Easy SEO Report by Josh Spaulding - it'll make many things clear.
