Does an Adsense unit take time to show?

I have put some Adsense script in a post, to show a big rectangle just below the post heading. But when I view it on-line there is nothing (from Adsense) there - just the text from the post.

I created a WP theme using Artisteer, could the way I set it up being suppressing it? I don't see how it wouldn't be visable straight away?

How long has it been? Adsense code can take 10-15 minutes sometimes. Just keep refreshing. If it's not there after about 15-20 minutes, double check your help files in Artiseer or check your code.

I'm not familiar with Artiseer. I usually cut & paste directly into my code.

The Ads should be there in 10-15min. Try to look at your source code and if you don't see the code you inserted, then your theme might have suppressed it.

I agree. Sometimes it take a bit before G's adsense crawler to determine the topic of your page. Give it a half hour.

Adsense is still not showing on my site.
I have changed my theme to a regular one, used different browsers, installed Adsense Plug-ins and still nothing.

Any ideas? Anyone else having difficulty?
