Is there such a tool that can provide detailed data on the difference between a web sites GOOD and POOR search term position? For example, if I am ranked # 5 one week for the term "movie posters" and then next week I am dropped to position #30, is there such a tool that can provide detailed info on WHAT may have affected the ranking? I realize no tool could possibly provide analysis on all the dynamics that go into search engine keyword positioning, but maybe there is something out there that can provide some benckmark data.

I don't really think there is such a tool - even theoretically, how would it work? You can check se rankings, backlinks and all, but it's up to you to extrapolate - we all can only guesstimate here.
