My question is more related to what happens after. Obviously, the links will create traffic the old fashioned way and not through search results, but I'm wondering about when I finally turn the setting off. This is about WP sites, which have that option from the start and can be turned on and off from the Settings. If I chose to make my domain visible again, "follow", will all the links pointing toward it now finally do something for the site with their weight and their own PageRank? |

You cant just turn on and off links and expect them to give immediate results. Spider bots and such have to find them again and give you juice. I would simply suggest keeping Do Follow links on. Basically you should make your domain visible, so that way all your links will give it organic power regardless it wouldnt hurt. |
