I want to find out if my website has been in the top ten list of google for selected keywords in the past 10 months. How do I do this check? Is there a software or a site which can tell me the highest rank achieved and what position? Appreciate the help, JH |

You can check out the web site alexa.com. This will give you much info about you web site traffic history and ranking...

I use a terrific free software tool called Traffic Travis. You'll be able to find on Google.

None of these show me keyword ranking for the past 6 months. I think it requires the user to have it setup 6 months ago so it could monitor the last 6 months instead of just looking back over time from today. JH |

You can use the tools from seo books which are specially meant for seo operation or go for any other online tools relates with the seo to check ranking history.. or go for Google search by applying different keywords.. no doubt the search will be bigger..n will take a huge time..

That still wont help me look back over the last 6 months for the highest position achieved for a keyword on my site. Many tools require you to set it up beforehand whereas I need to do this after the fact. So I want to see how my keyword/site ranked every month for the last 6 months. How do I do this after the fact? JH |

Hi Jet, There is a site called UrlTrends that does sort of what you are looking for, however you do have to have previously setup the site for monitoring. I have never heard of a site that shows historical SERP ranking data for all websites and keywords, seems to me like that would be insider information that only the search engines themselves would know. You can get some useful information from Google's webmaster tools after you verify your site. |

Almost all SEO software works properly when you set them up previously. But I'm looking for something which doesn't require previous setup and yet will give you a report for the last 6 months about your keywords and site rankings. Any such thing? JH |

SerpArchive is an awesome tool I’ve been using for almost a year now… too bad it now got more publicity, now they’ll have to start to charge for it - probably… :-)

If you're using cpanel webhosting, you should be able to see that. It also show you Top 10 keywords which deliver most visitors to your site. But this only works if you're the owner of the website of course.

Once again, None of the options above give you a history of your rankings for a particular keyword, for your site, for every month for the last 6 months. Can someone confirm this? JH |

Sir your excel file sheet can have the answers. There is no tool on earth which can record your rankings on Google. There are lots and lots of factors involved. Bottom line ~ no there ain't any tool for that task sorry |
