What is most important? ONSITE or OFF SITE SEO?

To get good SERP as well as good PR, what is most important,

ONSITE SEO - Keyword, Meta tag, meta description and title settings & Content
OFFSITE SEO - Getting Quality links.

Well obviously aim for both but it's surprising how highly you can rank with just on page SEO even against a decent amount of competition.

It takes more patience though as you have to make changes gradually rather than just start building links.

I think people sometimes forget that number one position means simply that the search engine thinks that this is the most relevent page to that specific keyword request. Having a a hundred thousand anchored backlinks doesn't make that page more useful to the search enquiry - sure they'll get you noticed and back up your content but are no subsitute for what's actually on the page.

Both are important because for example you can't win a game if you just have a great bowlers team or just great batsman team so you need all rounders as well or both

Just like that on page and off page works better if you work on both of these.

You need both.

Onsite SEO is much easier since it's mostly good basic web design plus understanding keyword targeting. Well, it seems simple but people do screw it up regularly anyway.

Off-site is essential to getting PR although you have to remember that toolbar PR and search engine results placement aren't the same thing. The more competitive the niche, the more difficult and essential Off-site becomes.

Onpage - Each page should have unique meta tags and permalink should contain the targetted keyword for that page. Also Each page should have SEO friendly content with targetted keyword density as 2-3% of the content..

Onpage SEO works like a magic for low competitive keywords..

For highly competitive keywords we must give more attention to off site SEO.

Off-site seo bring traffic so this is where the bucks are but onsite seo matters too. It helps the search engines

Both are important, but links are more important than on-site SEO. Just look at Adobe. They are number one for "click here", but they don't even have the word on the page. It just shows that links are worth more.

Both but a load of good quality links pointing back to your site could see you ranked for keywords that your page isn't optimised for.

But there is no reason for you not to do a mixture of both as they obviously help much better when combined.

both are equally important, coz if your site is not properly optimized, you will have difficulty in marketing your keywords properly, and and to make visitors, reach your site, you need a proper link building campaign, an equal amount of emphasis on both is really a must!

We should focus on both.... They both play an important role to seo...yeah in different aspect but they have both the same goal...To have a good SERP and Traffic...others want to have high PR...

Hi, according to me both Onsite & Offsite SEO are important. Since, without doing onsite optimization there is no use in doing OffsiteSEO. Offsite SEO alone can't get your site good SERP and PR. So both jointly play a major role in getting good SERP and PR.

They don't carry equal weight. Look at the top hits in the SERPs and you'll more often than not see sites with very poor OnPage SEO, yet ranking well to a very good link campaign or because they've got great content.

OnPage SEO is very helpful but not essential.

I would say good SEO is 30% OnPage, 70% link building.

Onsite is what you do everyday. Offsite is what you should be committed when you are launching a new website. If your website is old and authorized, don't worry about offsite as your existing popularity would work great if your onsite seo is good.

	Printer manufacturers rip us off, save money on your printing costs and refill toner cartridges instead. Besides save money and play online roulette it's a better way to waste money.
