Default Squidoo lens just WONT index!??

Hi,

Has anyone noticed any problems getting Google to index a Squidoo lens? For some reason it isn't indexing. I never usually have problems getting any page indexed within 4 - 48hrs but for some reason, even about 3 weeks later this lens won't index.

The lens has about 5 modules within it including text content and video. ALL the content has been written by myself so it's not crap or duplicate content. It does however include a couple of affiliate links (Clickbank and Paydotcom).

Any ideas from you guys what the problem may be? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Hi Andy,

That is odd - usually they are picked up very quickly.

Have you tried any link building to it or pinging it to ping.in or something?

Have you build any lenses since that have been indexed?

All the best

Jason

Well, it's being in my sig for a week or two now and I have got a few other links pointing to it from high PR sites. It just doesn't index. Maybe I'm being impatient, but I've never had a problem indexing a page before. It is a strange one.

*** Edited to say that it is NOT in my sig anymore. I removed it about 5 days ago, but it was in my sig for about a week or so. Google used to pick these sig links up within hours. I've noticed lately that isn't always the case now.

I've observed the same with my lenses...I have several and the only one indexed is the one I created two months ago.. I think squidoo is losing it's appeal when it comes to indexing..but my lens that's indexed is no. 2 on its keyword..which means it is still prioritized in search placement..though it will now take time to index..

Try giving it about a hundred backlink from social bookmarking sites and see if it will be picked up..

Are you absolutely sure it's not indexed? Search on Google with site: followed by your URL (no spaces, no http://).

The recipe I use for getting lenses indexed is blog, bookmark and ping. Syndicating your Lensmaster feed can also help, as well as links from other lenses on Squidoo.

I'm absolutely sure. Been in the game long enough to know when a site or page isn't indexed. lol. Thanks for your other suggestions though.
