Default Earn Crazy Christmas Affiliate Commissions in 3 Simple Steps

There is something in the air at Christmas time. Family, hot cocoa, love. Giving gifts makes this time of year even more magical, and that's something you can really cash in on during the holidays.

I don't mean to sound like a money-hungry marketer. I absolutely adore Christmas. But, I also get a special thrill about how easy it is to earn money as an affiliate this time of year.

Consider the facts:
  • People need to buy quickly (by at least December 23rd or so)
  • They go crazy buying toys for the kids
  • People love to shop online
  • People love to shop with stores they trust
  • They want to read reviews to feel confident before they shop

You can definitely use all of this to your advantage!

There are a few things you'll want to do to cash in during the holidays -- it just takes 3 simple steps!

Step One

You've got to find the hottest toys and gifts out there! This is easy to do if you go to the right places. Amazon and Toys R Us both put out a "Hot Holiday Toy List" every single year. Scope those out and you're golden!

I tend to prefer promoting toys because they fly off the shelves this time of year!

Step Two

The next thing you need to do is set up your site. There are a couple different options here. You can set up a large Christmas site featuring all of your toys or other Christmas gifts. Another option is to set up a mini-niche site that focuses on just one toy.

The benefit of the smaller sites is that you can very easily rank for the toy name you are going for. The benefit of the larger site is that you'll have less to maintain. You can also easily turn this into a powerhouse authority site, earning you Christmas cash for years to come!

No matter what kind of site you decide on, be sure you're producing high quality content (or using very high quality PLR). You want the kind of content that will turn browsers into buyers.

After you have your site set up and content loaded, it's time to monetize. Amazon is, hands-down, my favorite affiliate program during the holidays. Christmas buyers go nuts on Amazon! They fill their cart -- and you get a commission on all of it.

eBay, Toys R Us and others are very viable options as well. In fact, I often offer more than one choice on the page so people can see what the best price is. Amazon generally wins out.

Step Three

Now that your site is set up with high quality content and monetization, it's time to start promoting! There are a couple of different options here. You can try to rank in the search engines. This is fairly easy to do if you've chosen toys or other keywords that have low competition. If you're not sure, do some keyword research to dig down to find related keywords you can rank for!

Another option is to drive traffic to your content pages with PPC. You need to ensure your keywords, ad, and landing page are all highly relevant. I suggest creating a new ad, keyword set, and landing page for every toy or gift you are promoting. Set your keywords to exact match, and you're sure to get some conversions!

Of course, it can be tough to set this up in time for the holidays. A great option is to outsource the content and site building so you can focus on the rest. Once you put this into action, you'll likely be amazed at how easy it is to earn affiliate cash during Christmas. It brings a certain satisfaction to the already-wonderful feeling in the air.
