How Many Pages In Length Should An EBook Realistically Be These Days?

People sometimes wonder whether or not an e-book can be a dozen pages in length. What they are really asking me is how short an e-book can realistically be. Listen, I've always said that you need to think about creating something that is at least 50 pages in length if you want to get away with calling it an electronic book.
Are there some minor exceptions here and there? Of course, there are exceptions to everything. However, if you are going to create something that is several pages, you may instead want to simply refer to it as a special report. Remember, we need to set customer expectations correctly.
The last thing you want is for a customer to think that they are getting something that is the equivalent of a "book" -- which most people think of as having some substance insofar as page count -- only to download a 15 page document. Not only will the customer be a little bit annoyed, but they could also end up feeling as if though you mislead them.
Okay, so are we clear about this? Really try to focus on creating an e-book that is at least 50 pages in length. The good news is that it's not that hard to do this if you create the table of contents first. This enables you to figure out what should be included.
Most topics can easily provide you with enough material to fill the pages. Obviously, you don't just want to stuff words and sentences onto the page for the sake of filling space. But if you are open and honest about the entire process, you will find that creating a 50 page electronic book is really not that hard.
