Be Inspired! Take A Walk!

The road to inspiration is just outside your door. The best way to get new ideas is to let your mind go. Last night I took a long walk outside. All day the snow had been falling. The first of the season. Swept pavements, trees full of snow and the gentle light from the street lamps. It was a s silent and serene as it can be in the city. It was breathtakingly beautiful and it was impossible not to be inspired in a million different ways.

What's my point?

If you can't think of your next blog post or article or the next chapter of your book, take a walk outside. Walk for 10 minutes, 30 minutes or and hour if necessary. Then sit yourself in front of your computer (or other preferred writing device) and start writing. You probably don't know where to start, but if you turn off your brain and just start writing your subconscious will take you all the right places.

This is the best way to avoid writers block and find the inspiration you need to get things done!

You see, writing isn't some cozy pastime you can just turn on or off. Writing is work, hard work. And the only way to improve your writing is by...writing!

Writing is the only way to improve your writing skills. Improved writing skills is the only way to make it easier to avoid the blank screen in the future.

The next time you are stuck in front of the blank screen take a walk, clear your mind and start writing your next blog post!
