There are two bad habits in particular that I want you to eliminate so that you can spend more time focusing on your e-book publishing company.
1) Constantly checking your e-mail.
How many times per day do you check your e-mail? The truth of the matter is that you should only be checking your e-mail two or three times per day at the most. How many of us really do that? I am guilty of checking my e-mail constantly. Whenever I see that I have a new e-mail, I will sometimes drop whatever it is that I'm working on to address the issue raised within the e-mail. This can be incredibly foolish because it kills your productivity and you suddenly are reacting to a variety of things as they arrive in your inbox.
2) Watching television while you try to work.
For a long time I had a television set that was tuned to a financial news channel all day long. To say the least, this created a tremendous distraction. You really need to focus on your e-book publishing tasks without having any television or radio or any other form of entertainment device trying to steal your attention away all day.
These two bad habits alone, when corrected, can dramatically improve your ability to work on your various e-book publishing related tasks. As a side note, while internet marketing forums can be really helpful, you may want to be careful about how much time you spend on them so as not to impair your productivity.
