To succeed in life and business you must condition yourself and your mind. How you do this involves a series of exercises involving the mind. To condition your mind is not a one step process it requires constant monitoring and exercising.
How do you condition and exercise the mind?
One of the best places to begin is Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. Of course there is his more detailed work, Law of Success but Think and Grow Rich is the summation of his more detailed works and a great place to begin.
Over the next few months we’ll be reviewing his Think and Grow Rich book and we will be discussing it on our website.
What do you want most, is a good question to begin with. Once you are able to answer this question you can lay out a plan on how to get there. Do you want money, power, peace of mind, happiness or something else is the question the book starts of asking.
When reading Think and Grow Rich it’s best to read a complete chapter every day and no more. Highlight the sections that make the greatest impression on you and go back and reread them.
Don’t just read this book but study it and try to see how it fits into your life and those around you. This book may have been written in the early 30’s but what it reveals is still true today with lessons that truly hold the keys to success.
One of the most important topics covered is the section on mastermind groups, a collection of people working together to accomplish like-minded goals. This is a very important item when running a business on or off line. Those that truly succeed never do so alone.
Networking is very important and can be consider a type of mastermind group. Get to know people, work with them, help them when they ask and do so just to help without looking for something in return. Later when you need help it will be there from others.
I say when because sooner or later you will need the help of others, whether it’s for hire or through a mastermind group or both.
Everyone, no matter how rich or poor only gets 24 hours in a day, no more, no less. Those that are successful know the only way to do so is by getting others to help you, usually by hiring others to complete tasks for you that frees up your time for other items you need to do.
