The Secret Hidden in Think and Grow Rich

In reading Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill says there is a secret freely displayed within its pages, but that you will only recognize it if you are ready. He says that it seems to work best when a person discovers it themselves.
Since he does not say what that secret is I can only hope that I have found it. Personally I believe the secret he says if hidden plainly in sight is that of a Burning Desire.
If you feel otherwise I’d love to hear what you believe it to be.
Sure a goal is of major importance but without the burning desire it is just a dream. A burning desire is what turns dreams into goals to achieve.
This burning desire is what has turned many a penniless man or woman into millionaires and billionaires.
How do you develop this burning desire?
Think of it as building a fire. To build a fire you must first start with a spark and something that will ignite easily, such as sawdust or straw. Then you add small twigs, then small branches, and finally larger pieces of wood. It is much the same with building a burning desire.
To build a burning desire you must start with a spark, something you are interested in or want to become interested in. Next you must read all you can about this subject learning as much as you can. Find anything and everything about this subject that excites you that attracts your interest.
Next find and write down reasons why you want to learn about this subject and what it will do for you do learn and master this subject. Also, write down all the negative things that will happen if you do NOT learn this subject and master it.
Create a plan on how you will learn and master this subject. You need a long term (major) goal that you want to achieve from learning this subject. Start at the end and work backwards. Break the major goal into smaller and smaller parts and write them down.
Draw a line, similar to a number line like you drew in math class, and put today’s date on the far left side, and the final major goal on the far right side. Now divide the line into as many sections as you have minor goals and write these minor goals above the line and the dividing line you just created. Do this for each minor goal starting from the left and working to the right.
Now below each of these goals write the date by which you want to achieve each one of these. Below these dates write a reason why you want to achieve each of these minor goals. Write below this the reasons why you cannot fail. Below this write the reward you will receive by achieving each of these goals.
Do this for each minor goal and the major goal.
Now make yourself a promise to accomplish each of these goals and write that promise below each goal. Write who you are making this promise to and why you MUST keep this promise.
If you don’t make the first goal then adjust your timeline to reflect the new dates, but do NOT do this just because you are lazy!
