Tip How To Build A List - 7 Different Ways To Build A List

How to build a list? Sometimes that question is a bit like "how long is a piece of string". Nevertheless, there are many strategies you can use and I have seven of them below for you.


Popup

A popup still works very well. You can have this on a sales page for a product or just on a regular content site. Most autoresponder software makes it easy for you to create a popup without having to jump through any hoops.


Build Buzz

If you are launching a product then it is always a good idea (time permitting) to build buzz and get everyone interested into your list. Then on launch day, you have a ton of people that you can immediately hit with your promotion.

Send out freeline content such as videos and short reports. These will be passed on and hopefully go viral. Have everything point back to your list.

Ad Swaps

When you reach 1,000 subscribers you can do ad swaps where you and another marketer agree to put an ad for the other person's list in their newsletter. This can multiply your list up very quickly.


Article Marketing

There is maybe no better free method for building a list. Choose your keywords carefully and you will get highly targeted traffic.


Facebook

Facebook is a new avenue for creating a list. But watch out because they hate spammers. You must offer a ton of value upfront if you want to use Facebook for list building.


Press Releases

Think of something timely in your niche and send out a press release. Make the most of it by positioning yourself as an expert in your niche. Have the link at the bottom of the press release go back to your squeeze page.


Joint Venture

A joint venture is a great way to build a list fast. You want someone who has access to your target market to send traffic to your list.

But why would they do that? You need to give them a great deal. Remember, they have the guns and you have nothing so make it a sweet deal for them.
