Vote on other peoples bookmarks and contribute bookmarks that are of great value - not necessarily just your own.
2. RSS Feeds
RSS Feeds are about the fastest and easiest way to get links to your site out on the web. Yet, this method of website promotion is not often talked about. If you have a blog, you have an RSS feed. If not, you can get a feed made from your static site pretty easily at any number of websites that will make one from your URL.
After you have the feed URL, you simply submit it to the RSS directories. These are like article directories but for RSS feeds. People can then come and pick up your feed and put it on their website. Plus the RSS directories themselves get indexed. The best part about RSS feeds is that everytime you add a new post to your blog, the feed is automatically updated with the new post on every single site that has your feed which gets you instant backlinks to your new post without you having to do a thing!
