Have you made any sales with your review sites?

Back in 2008 when I first heard about review sites this seemed like the easiest way to make money ever invented. I got a few sales, nothing spectacular. Definitely not to the degree mentioned in all the posts and products about review sites. Since then review sites have emerged in the IM world in one way or another, and although it's always possible to make one or two sales with the methods mentioned they still seem to lack the ability to forge a sustainable income.

I think it's safe to say at least 90% of those attempting to make money with review sites quit! In fact, 90% is probably a low number!

Most people are attracted to the idea of making money without selling. It's strange, but true that selling is an act many dislike.

The simple fact is that most people won't buy a product without being sold on the product.

Even the most desperate visitor will still need a bit of selling. That means you need to be careful that your wording doesn't scare the reader away from your site.

Don't hide or disguise the weak spots of the product! Make the problem areas seem less critical!

The way to do that is to explain why the problem isn't such a big deal anyway. Not by lying or making false claims, but through solid explanations of how easily those problems are overcome.

WARNING: Don't ever lie to the reader! Not only is it unethical it will also ruin your credibility long term!
