There seems to be quite a lot of confusion about picking a niche that will make you money.

So I have decided to write this article that will include some of my own experiences and hopefully help you if you are having a hard time picking a product or service that converts.

Most of the products that I have created I tested the market out as an affiliate first.

Normally the process I use is to create a squeeze page that will allow me to build a list.

Then I research the niche - a lot of people skip this but it IS a must if you want to be able to relate to your niche and make money.

The key is finding something that the niche needs - so by now you will be researching a niche and you will have your main problem.

To use an example I have recently launched a product in the gaming niche that is for a new MMORG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) and the game costs a fee to play every month.

The game is quite difficult and takes a lot of time to play and actually get anywhere, so you either have to commit a lot of time to it OR get some help.
So you can see where the product fits in and is needed.

Now once you have found that there is a REAL need for the solution to a problem you have a niche.

It is best to build a free report that will answer the problem and build a list as above.

Don't try and sell anything yet, you will just be focusing on giving some really good free information.

Then you need to get your report in front of the people that need the solution.

You can include some affiliate links in the report as well.

This is a good way to test a niche but to tell if the page will convert have a look for proof on the affiliate page (if there is one) that testing has been carried out.

Most people skip testing of a product because they are eager to launch, but they are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this.

If the product is tested and conversion mastered then it will be far easier to convert.

As a rule of thumb when I am having a look at sales page and thinking whether or not they will convert I ask myself this simple question:

"Would I but this product?"

If the answer is Yes, I give it a go!

Of course if I would not buy the product I move on.

There is no REAL way of knowing whether a product converts for you until you test it.

There are so many factors that come into play such as quality of traffic, the quality of your report and how you are coming across to the market.

To keep it simple - look for a market that is a problem (most are), the bigger the problem and the more people looking for a solution the more chance that it will convert for you!
