Facebook is a very popular social networking site that can help you grow your online business, given its huge popularity to all types of people from the young to the much older people. Its hundreds of millions of active users make it an attractive advertising platform for many web marketers.

The business potential of this social site is enormous, especially if you have more than 1,000 fans in your Facebook fan page and these people also have hundreds of their own, then you can have hundreds of thousands of potential viewers of your ads. This is a good business proposition and business platform, conclusively.

Advertising on this social platform can be an edge that you can get for your business. As you can notice there old and new business brands and likewise small and big businesses coming to Facebook to create their individual business pages in order to attract online customers.

- Selling on Facebook may be hard to do because of its different platform. Users on this site are merely socializing and not buying.

But you can still achieve business success in this social networking site especially if you have literally, thousands of Facebook fans. How to increase your fans further can be achieved by doing some things, like the following:

- Invite your friends and relatives, new and old acquaintances, to your Facebook fan page. Request them to ask their friends also and by doing this way you can increase your fan base.

- Tag your friends in the photos you tag on your wall. This strategy can have an effect and improve your relationship with your "friends" and "fans" in Facebook.

- Advertise your page with an ad on Facebook and see the effect of your effort. Advertising on this site is cheap and you can have a wide financial leeway.

Given all of the above statements you can make your decision whether you will have to place advertisements on Facebook, or not. It can really depend on how you perceive things and not merely relying on what other people say about Facebook advertisement.
