Running a website can be quite challenging, especially if you are working with something a little complicated than the usual websites. But thanks to a particular online application, running a high powered website can now be done with ease and without having the in depth technical skills.

Joomla is an online content management tool that will help you organize your website in such a way that everything in it will be where they should be. If you have not tried using a content management system or any similar online marketing method before, you will realize that there are really a lot of things that you can do to make your online marketing life a little easier.

We all know running a great website entails a lot of work, but when you use Joomla you will be able to do all the things that you have to do but with less stress and headaches on your part. Joomla has long been used by webmasters and online marketers all around the world for managing content in several kinds of websites, and the results have been pretty impressive which is why a lot of people use it.

While there are a number of things that you need to remember when familiarizing yourself with Joomla, the basic ones are generally the most important. For example, the very first thing that you need to learn when using Joomla for your website is to know how to do it properly and effectively organize your website in such a way that online users will find it appealing and useful at the same time.

If you think that Joomla can be mastered overnight, you better think again - although it is understandable that you want to get results right away, Joomla is not about getting your website up and running without thoroughly considering all the factors. As a webmaster you should know a few essential things first before you can even let your website go live, and the first of which is about your website organization.

Take a look at the current format of Joomla, and you will notice something - Joomla has a static hierarchy, which means that you need to divide your content into three levels (only three) if you want it to pass Joomla requirements. Joomla's version 5.0 has a dynamic folder hierarchy and if you only want to have one level you can do so; if you want to have ten, you can have that too but for beginners it is advisable that they use the three level system: Sections, Categories, and Content.

Sections are the bigger containers and inside them categories are found, while categories on the other hand are little containers where content is found. Imagine that these three levels are an actual filing system - drawers, folders, and pieces of documents - and without them, all the information that you have will be topsy-turvy.
