Simple Ways To Increase Targeted Traffic For More Sales

Many people focus on how only how MUCH traffic they are getting instead of increasing targeted traffic. I've been guilty of this, until I focused my efforts on finding paying traffic. What do I mean by paying traffic? I mean BUYERS, people that are looking for what you have to offer and whip out their credit cards the moment they land on your page.


I bet there's been times where you had a problem, "googled it", came across a sales page and bought that item without much of a thought because it met your needs perfectly. It's happened to me many times....maybe I'm just easy to part with my money, but from the lessons I have learned in online marketing, this happens to people every day, in all niches.
So how do you know where your "buyers" hang out? How do you get in front of them and increase targeted traffic?

Well, lets start with a little exercise first. This might seem ridiculously simple, but the chances are you haven't actually done this, which is why you're not getting a lot of targeted traffic that makes you money....
Increase Targeted Traffic - Know Your Buyer

What product are you selling? - With so many people using funded proposal 'systems' it may be easy to overlook this, as the selling part is taken care of by the funnel...but if you're not putting the right traffic through the funnel, you won't get the results. Look at the first product your lead gets offered and the most expensive product they are offered throughout the course of being on your list. These will help you determine what product you are selling, look for the similarities and find the theme.
Who wants your product? - Now that you can see the 'theme' of your products, what kind of problem do they fulfill? This will help you determine WHO wants to buy your product. The person with this problem is your target.
What questions is this person asking? - Or more specifically, what are they searching for online? Brainstorm some keywords by asking the questions you think your ideal prospect, the one with the problem, would be asking. Usually these will start with "How can I..." "How To" "etc. Write these down as we'll use them soon.
Increase Targeted Traffic - Go Where They Go

Where Do They Hang Out? - This is a great, simple way to get in front of your prospects and increase targeted traffic FAST. Search google for forums related to the topics that your prospect is searching for. Sign up for the forum and help answer questions.
Do NOT spam the forum, simply put a signature on your profile with a link to your capture page specifically for people in that niche. Use one of the questions you came up with earlier like "How Can I Get More Free Traffic?" turns into "Want To Know How To Get More Free Traffic? Click Here".
Now search for people asking about the problem you can solve for them, give them some useful answers and leave human curiosity to do the rest People will continue to come across these forum posts long after you've answered them as they search for the same things and click your signature link.
Always be on the look out for what questions people are asking and note them down too (this is a great way to increase targeted traffic - write about the questions you see in the forums)
(haha, coincidentally, I literally JUST got a phone call from someone who saw a post I made on a forum over 1 month ago asking more about my product, which they found out about by clicking the link in my signature and which they went on to buy after the call. Take note: It WORKS)
What do they search for? - Take the questions that you have come up with and type them in to your keyword tool (I use this) to see what related terms come up. Find ones with little competition and use these in your blog titles, forum posts and video titles to help you get found in the search results.
