Here is a scenario: you have brilliant content, keyword-rich, and a very hot topic and very interesting but you are still not getting any attention to your website. You re-evaluate and revisit why and where you went wrong and you realize, your website is not calling attention to the readers.

As influential as article marketing is, website design also pulls your audience. You want them to interact and use your site and do something there.

Your SEO content may be working but you fail in keeping your visitors interested in your website. You have to make that call to action to your visitor and make them want to subscribe or buy something from your site.

Call to action engages your visitor to avail of something from your site. And it should catch their attention and interest them enough to want something from your site.

What should be done to call to action?
  • Choose the right color of your call to action. Each color has a representation to the message or call you want to convey to your visitor.
  • Red is the classic color of a call to action. It can catch the visitor’s attention right away but it may also mean danger. You can try other alternatives like yellow, blue, green and even white (on a black highlight) to really stand out.
  • Orange is considered to be the best color for call to action. It has both the properties of the red and yellow giving it an aggressive yet cheerful feel to it.
  • Choose the right words to say on your call to action. Your words have to be clear and should state what your site is about. Nothing else is worse than the wrong choice of words that will send the wrong message to your visitors. It has to be well thought out and beneficial to the readers.
  • You can also put several calls to action within your site so the readers won’t have to miss out on anything. The words shouldn’t be too threatening or it should not make your readers too uncomfortable and confused.
  • Choose where you will be putting your call to action that can be read by your visitors. You can include it after an article or within the article or somewhere where it catches the attention of the visitor.
With color, the right words and the right place, I think your call to action will be made more obvious. This will then ensure your readers will find out what you offer.

Call to action is practically where you pitch the sale so it is very important in a site. The responsibility of the SEO specialist is to make sure this is achieved.
