Google Adwords is a form of online paid advertising, and obviously, the goal is to get new customers to see what you offer, with your online business. People may not know about your product and with a wide online presence you can get with this form of online paid advertisement, you can get the qualified customers to your website and they may eventually buy from you.

Being a beginner, you may not know how to implement this Adwords strategy and you may think of having a professional do it for you. But you can do it on your own by just knowing the Google Adwords settings and beginners can do it by just following the guidelines on setting up the ad campaign.

• The basic settings will have you set up your campaign name or the name that will differentiate your campaign from the others.
Have your campaign set up according to your time frame, or until you want your campaign to run.

• Your budget options will then be set up, whether you want it daily, weekly or monthly. Your delivery method will also be set up, like whether you want your ads shown in the morning or early evening.

• Your bidding options will then be set up. You then will bid on the keywords you have chosen to be put in your ad copies, taken into consideration your finances and the budget you reserved for this campaign.

• You can also have ad scheduling set up or have your ads displayed only on weekdays or if you prefer it on weekends. Knowing when your targeted customers most likely will make their search is the key to this option.

• You can also have options on where to position your ads, whether you want it on the top five positions or the lower five positions in the search page. You may find the first five positions too competitive and the lower positions may just give you better performance.

• Setting up the networks where you want your ad campaign is also an
option that you have to decide on.
There are two networks where you can choose, the search network or the content network.

• You can also set up the target audience where you want your ads on. If you only have a local business, then you can opt for local search and target a specific geographical location, or have it global, depending on what products you offer.

• You can set up the language preference that you want on your ads. But the ideal one though, are those in English because it can be accepted internationally.

Knowing these basic guidelines, you can now start your Adwords paid ad campaign. You can start with your keyword research and then create your ad copy, and with implementing these guidelines you can launch your ad campaign.
