Lightbulb Web Traffic Secrets - 3 Ways to Drive Qualified Traffic to Your Online Business

Before going out to start an online business, you should take some time to know all the different ways to drive traffic on the web. The key to online success is driving qualified traffic to your website. If you can do that, you will still make money even with a mediocre sales process. But if you drive 'junk' traffic to a high-converting page, it still won't make much money, if any at all. This won't be a complete lesson on getting traffic, but I will show 3 of my best ways for driving web traffic online.

One of the best ways to drive qualified traffic on the web is article marketing. I typically get 3000-5000 visitors from free articles alone every month. Plus, someone who arrives to your website from an article is going to be much more qualified than someone who reads than a 3-line pay per click ad.

The second way to drive targeted traffic to your pages is through search engine optimization. This is where you optimize your web pages to achieve high search engine rankings to increase your traffic. This is a rather long process and the results are far from certain. Unlike article marketing, you can't just say you are going to get 1000 visitors next month and than go out and write the articles to make it happen. A lot depends on the particular engine's whims. So with SEO, a lot of it is out of your control.

The third way to get traffic is through pay per click advertising. This is a paid advertising method. The advantage of this is that unlike SEO, you don't have to spend time optimizing your pages, you can immediately put up an ad and get eyeballs to your website immediately. On the other hand, there is a learning curve that comes with it as well.

My verdict? Get started with article marketing. It is one of the easiest, low-cost ways to drive targeted traffic to your website.
