One of the greatest lessons I've learned about online success is that eventually, after your learning phase, there comes a time when you need to have a big picture of what you want to achieve. In your learning phase, your learning and your activities will be scattered, because you're just getting started and just feeling around. But once you get a basic grip of Internet marketing, you need to create a big picture, a goal, a business plan to really start making things happen for you.

You see, when you buy different ebooks on different topics, or even on the same topics, you may get what you may see as conflicting advice. But most of the advice is just different interpretations or different ways of doing things. There is no one way to get to the destination, there are different ways, some are faster and some are shorter. But basically, in general, there are only a couple of main ways to make money from Internet marketing: creating a content website, list building, Ebay, Ecommerce and site flipping. These are the main strategies. If you do affiliate marketing, you can create a content website or you can do list building or you could do both, they are all different ways to get into the money.

If we go even deeper and buy a traffic generation course, like say one that only covers pay per click advertising, there is nothing that says pay per click is the only way to get traffic or make money online. You can combine different traffic sources to create one solid marketing strategy for your business.

The way to make a full-time income online from a business is not to use just one technique or one strategy. Creating a content site by itself doesn't make money, unless you monetize it through Adsense, banner advertising and list building. Email marketing doesn't live in a vacuum of it's own - you can combine affiliate marketing, coaching programs and even articles and pay per click to build your list. So no one method on it's own is going to make you rich. You've got to think outside of the box to combine the methods to form your business strategy.
