If you're just getting started online, or even if you've been at it for a while, being overwhelmed is a common state of being. Look, I know information overload can cause problems, but it is just a hindrance, not an excuse. The solution is to set priorities and create a plan.

Here is the key: it doesn't matter if the plan is not perfect. If you wanted to make it perfect on paper, you could take years to figure it out and get nothing accomplished. Your plan only needs to be good, and then you can refine it as time goes along.

One of the common causes for information overload is seemingly conflicting advice. And then it is easy to shout out 'I'm confused by it all, I give up!' That's not how a real businessperson responds. You've got to realize that there are different ways to do things. All of them may be effective. You've just got to choose the path that is suitable to your acumen, time and resources.

There are hundreds of ways to get traffic. There are hundreds of ways to write an autoresponder campaign. There are hundreds of ways to profit from affiliate programs. And there are thousands of affiliate programs out there. Well, if you want to make money online, you just need a simple plan.

For example, when I started out, my plan was very simple. Create a squeeze page to build a list, provide a free report to my subscribers and send follow-up emails with useful advice and recommendations. My business model is not that different now, although there are added nuances. I've added more traffic sources to my business, but that doesn't mean my original business model was not profitable. It was. In fact, if I still used that simple original plan today, I will still make thousands of dollars.

The point is, stop getting confused and start taking action. Any positive action to build your business.
