How To Set Up Your First Profitable Affiliate Site

When you first start out online you normally try your hand at Affiliate Marketing. Basically promoting someone else’s product or service and then taking a cut of the profit.

One of the most popular affiliate networks is without a doubt Clickbank – offering hundreds of products and huge commission rates ranging all the way to 75% makes it very popular.

So why isn’t everyone having success as an affiliate?

There are a few things that come into it:

Lack of belief: They may be new and following through one of the many guides and not really believe that it will work for them so they do not put the work in required.

Sidetracked: It is also easy to bounce off to the “next big thing” which is normally software that promises to make the process easier or the next big “make money online method”.

There are hundreds of them although the simple fact is if you find a HUNGRY niche, a product that solves a problem for THAT niche then 9 times out of 10 you will have some success.

Here is an easy way to get started:

1. Head over to GoDaddy.com and purchase a domain name – something that is one of your main keywords for the product that you want to promote will be good.

2. Set up a Wordpress blog – you can find instructions on how to do this all over Youtube.

3. Write 5 keyword optimised posts on your Wordpress blog and start building backlinks to them with the top web 2.0 sites.

4. Syndicate the content with the major article directories.

5. Make sure you track your visitors and rankings.

6. Keep going till you make a sale and then work out how many visits it took to get the sale – if it is too much pick another product, if not carry on....

That really is how simple it is!

However writing the articles, setting up the Wordpress blog and maintaining it can be a learning curve.

I think this is what puts some people off – but the process is there if you care to follow it...
